Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear
Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair
Fuzzy Wuzzy sometimes gets very cold at work when they put him outside
Mr. Gren hasn’t made too many appearances here on the ol’ Two Frogs, so for those of you who don’t know, he shaves his head. Nice and slick, shiny smooth. It’s good for rubbing, like Aladdin’s magic lamp. No genies or wishes, but it feels nice.
For those of us who are still endowed with hair, we don’t feel the cold quite like Mr. Gren does. Since he began working at the home improvement store, he has been stationed mainly outside. Christmas trees will be coming in a week or so and, in anticipation of spending many frigid nights in the outside garden department, Mr. Gren asked if I would make him a hat to wear. But not just any hat. He wanted one sporting the logo of his employer because… I don’t know. It makes it more legit. And, he added, “I’ll be the envy of all my co-workers.”
Mr. Gren also has a sarcastic streak.
After a bit of graphing, we figured out the logo, then I took my yarn and knitting board upstairs where it’s warm and spent the day happily knitting away. I was surprised at how quickly it came together. Even with kids climbing on me — because heaven forbid Maman spend more than two minutes by herself; she might get lonely. The knitting was done before dinner and I sewed and cinched it up after we had put the kids down.
Mr. Gren’s all set to make his co-workers jealous.
